General Instructions

Here are general instructions to be followed while filling the IYC membership form

  1. You will be required to paste a passport size photograph on the form. The photograph should be original, and not a photocopy. Please stick the photo, do not staple.
  2. Use capital block letters, and fill one letter in each block.
  3. The cost of membership in the IYC is Rs.15/-.

Membership Receipt

- Your membership receipt is the bottom part of the membership form.
- When you receive the receipt, please ensure that it has a barcode sticker attached. The barcode number is your identification number of your membership.
- You will be required to produce this receipt at the time of voting.
- You will need your barcode/receipt number when you make enquiries about your membership during verification.

Tracking and verification

Your membership will become active in the IYC 21 days after form submission.You can confirm your membership in the IYC in the following ways –

- On the official website IYC.in, you can query your receipt number and check if you have been registered in our list of members.

- You can take your receipt/receipt number to your LRO anytime after 21 days of your form submission. He/she will check within the membership database and comfirm your membership.

- Alternatively, you can go to your local IYC unit and look up your name in the voter’s list. The voter’s list will be displayed in the IYC units after the close of membership.

Corrections, deletions, additions

- If your membership data is not present in the IYC memberlist, or if the data is invalid/incomplete, you can take up the issue with the Lok Sabha Returning Officer (LRO). He/she will assist you in making the changes in the membership data.
- You can call the IYC help center at 1860 425 4357. They will support you in verifying your membership data.
- If you have lost/no longer have the counterfoil, the LRO will look up your name in the IYC database. If you are still not identified in the database, your membership can be considered invalidated/suspended.
